Cullen Skink Revisited!

Well, it's been a few days of nasty cold damp weather and I thought I'd make a big pot of soup! Oh yeah ... I still don't really have a proper working stove. DAMN!

For those of you out there who are thinking it's soup weather too why don't you try a nice hearty recipe for a Scottish favorite and let me know how it turns out. I have to cook vicariously through you till the new stove comes in!

Hi Cat. I love your site. I was wondering if you have a good recipe for crabcakes - i just can't seem to get them right (I know some people think of crabs as just giant cockroaches of the sea, but i disagree). I've been looking and looking for just the right crabcake and they all seem to be missing something. Recently i was considering giving up even LOOKING for a great recipe, but i thought i might give it one more try. So what do you think?

I'm not looking for a PERFECT recipe, i just think i'm looking for a recipe with the right combination of ingredients for ME. Can you help? Something about your site makes me think that you might know just the right mixture.

Your site is great! I love your photos, and I actually might have to make some eggnog so I can use it in your pancake recipe this weekend...yum.

I was planning on making *clam* chowder in the next couple of days or so; I'll send you a snap of a nice, steaming bowlful!
